SPEAKER CALLS MPs TO ATTEND THE MANDATORY NEXT WEEK

A member of the Chamber of Deputies Abdel Hadi al-Hassani, on Tuesday, the speaker of parliament Iyad al-Samarrai called on council members to attend the mandatory next week to discuss and vote on the budget and the laws of military pension and the protection of journalists. He said al-Hassani told (Voices of Iraq) that "the parliament speaker, Iyad al-Samarrai called on members of the House of Representatives to the compulsory attendance next week from Sunday to Thursday, to discuss and vote on certain important laws including the Act on the financial budget and the Law to Protect Journalists and the law of military retirement."

He said al-Hassani said that "the invitation came after a meeting of the Presidium of the Parliament and heads of political blocs."

Indicated that the meeting of the Council of Representatives has raised yesterday, Monday, without a vote on any bill not to complete the quorum which is repeated for the second day in a row.
