DINAR DADDY'S THOUGHTS

Here's what I heard today on the phone... take it for what it's worth, as these things have already been shared in posts from other people through different sources:

- I heard from one contact that said a source of his told him there is a 100% chance of RV by Monday the 21st. The expectation was in the $2+ range.

- I heard the Puerto Rico rumor that talked about the $3.47 rate showing on the Banks' screens, then at 8pm EST they said the rate that use to be "RED" on their screens changed colors to "GREEN". They had verified it from others who saw it too. What I like about this is that we'll know by tomorrow AM if this is true or not.

- I heard Maliki is holding out on the announcement of the RV until it fits his political agenda and the time line of his election campaign to announce it.

- I heard today that the 17th is the Islamic New Year, but the 21st of December is the beginning of the Iraqi CALENDAR YEAR. This could have definite significance to a potential announcement for Maliki.

What do I feel about the information that was given to me above? I trust the sincerity of those who I speak with. I am grateful they trust me to share what they do with me. I wouldn't be posting these things if they weren't already shared in other posts from different people earlier today. It's hard, after all this time, for me to believe anything anymore... but I am hopeful unto belief that the above are all true. I know we all need the RV at this point.

So, that's what I've heard and how I feel. I am hopeful unto belief that the above is true, and I am grateful to my friends who I talk to that share with me what they've heard. If this RV doesn't transpire by the 21st, my belief will be that I shouldn't expect it until after the Iraqi elections that will transpire the first part of March.

FRANK POST - KTF Missions

Does anybody want to discuss Res 1859? Before we do………is it not the first of the year in Iraq right now? We have been pointing out the article where M proclaimed that he would eradicate unemployment before the end of the year. Interestingly enough the New Islamic Year in Iraq also brings forth the mourning of Muharram. There is also the 21st Family…….which is the beginning of their new fiscal calendar year. So which was M talking about? The 18th…….or the 21st? IMO………that’s why these became the new target dates just recently. Now let’s discuss what they discussed and let’s hope it’s not too ……….disgusting. Exactly one year ago Family………this same Res 1859 came up as a hot topic. To put it in a very simple way……….Iraq has a piggy bank called the DFI and the IAMB is in charge of managing these funds. This resolution is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT to Iraq. It is a type of force field that protects their money ………..which is actually their oil………which is their future. If this resolution is not passed ……….then countries like Kuwait (who have forgiven but will never forget!!!) can legally go to the world courts and sue Iraq big time for restitution. Guess where the money would come from? Now……..let’s look at this as if it could be used as a leverage to force Iraq to make the announcement. Today Iraq requested that the resolution be brought up for vote this coming Monday on the 21st. Let’s pretend that the USA ………my bad……..that the UNSC says no we are not going to pass it………..but kindly read the fine print Iraq. It says : if you raise the IQD ………then we will pass 1859 so nobody can come after you based on Saddam’s war atrocities. Deal? Of course Iraq is like an elephant in a porcelain shop………knocking over anybody that they have made deals with. They rarely show a grateful attitude for so much that has been given to them. I pray that the 1859 Res is not given to them unless they RI. It can be a silent deal between now and the 21st. Just like the “New Iraqi Air Force”…………ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!!! How is that possible when the elephant foot of CH7 is squarely on Iraqi’s jugular vein………….something is definitely illogical about this. Yes I know I am supposed to play stupid and roll over………..as I pay my taxes………but I’m not that stupid. How many times have I said to look at what they do…….not what they say? Unless they have matchbox airplanes………because where did the money come from? It’s not like having a temporary license…….you get to practice buying airplanes before you can fly them. Apparently a deal must have been made not only for them to buy weapons but now to have the armed forces to pull the trigger on these weapons. I hope you are studying these articles and documents Family and not just relying on me to tell you everything. In fact, let me ask you a question………..why is it that Russia will not sign on second round contracts until the 29th when they want this done on the 21st? Hint: voting power! So on the 18th (a new year) they are discussing 1859 and on the 21st (a new year) they may vote on it for approval. Maliki sure did word his article from a month ago …………Brilliantly. So if the extension is not approved on the 21st…….then these provisions come to an end and guess what Iraq……….no more diapers. I said it yesterday and I will say it again today……….it may actually be time for you to grow up.

A friend of mine just called and said he went to his local branch (BOA) at AZ and was making a deposit and asked the teller if she knew about dinar and if they handled it. IRAQ STRENGTHENS HAND AT OPEC

Simon Webb | Reuters

BAGHDAD: Iraq has maneuvered itself into a strong position for future negotiations on output quotas with OPEC after awarding deals to international energy firms that would more than quadruple its output capacity.

Emerging from the shadow of war and keen to generate petrodollars to rebuild, Baghdad has deals on the table that would lift capacity to 12 million barrels per day in six or seven years.

That would add potential for another 9.5 million bpd to Iraq’s output, a level of capacity only eclipsed by top oil exporter and OPEC’s most powerful member Saudi Arabia.

“Iraq has taken a fairly hard line on the quota system,” said one Iraq oil industry observer, on condition of anonymity.

“It sees itself as rivaling Saudi Arabia. More so given the numbers bandied about by international energy firms at the bidding rounds.”

Unlike OPEC’s 11 other members, Baghdad is not subject to the output targets the group uses to set supply levels. OPEC exempted Iraq in the 1990s, when it was under sanctions.

Sooner or later OPEC will want Baghdad to realign supply policy with other members and stick to an output target. Otherwise, Iraq could flood the market and undo OPEC’s work to balance supply and demand at a price it deems reasonable to producers and consumers.

Iraq, one of OPEC’s founding members, had shrugged off talk of output curbs as it put some of its giant oilfields on the block during two bid rounds.

But Oil Minister Hussain Al-Shahristani said on Saturday that Iraq intended to work with OPEC to maximize revenues rather than pump flat out.

Iraq would be pumping below levels that would require it to rejoin the quota system for some time, Al-Shahristani said. He declined to say what output level that would be.

“OPEC is going to have to give room to Iraq,” said one senior Iraqi official. “Iraq has been deprived of its rightful oil sales for decades.”

The size of OPEC quotas is related to reserves. Iraq’s oil reserves are slightly smaller than Iran’s, so a renewed quota for Iraq may be similar to that of its neighbor.

But international energy companies have signed up to deals that would give Iraq three times more capacity than Iran’s 4.2 million bpd, so Baghdad would likely refuse to be saddled with that comparison, analysts said.

“Iraq’s relative size in the basic quota system should be recalculated,” said Samuel Ciszuk, Middle East energy analyst at IHS Global Insight.

MOUNTAINMAN POST - Dinar Vets

POLITICAL ANALYSIS OF WHEN THE RV MAY OCCUR
17 Dec 2009 13:08

Having analyzed our investment for quite some time I would like to share my thoughts and conclussions with you all so that we can better understand and hopefully gain additional insights into this investment. All thoughts, contributions and even opposing arguements are welcome... just remember you don't get to whack the messenger...

The basic premise that I think we can all agree on is that Maliki is not going to release the RV until he and his advisors have determine the date that is going to produce the Maximum Political Gains to get him reelected as President.

Timing is going to be EVERYTHING.

Today is 12-17-09. The deadline to announce all those running in the elections is 12-20-09... so not all the players have even announced yet... Maliki included

With elections scheduled for 3-7-10 that means there are 80 days before the actual election.

Maliki needs to announce the RV when there are no other distractions (Their new Year, new bombings, Religious Holidays ect.) so the people will focus on HIM as being the one who brought them the new value in their money.

Maliki and his advisers are no doubt already looking for the "window of opportunity" to determine when is the safest and most advantageous time to make this announcement as Maliki can ONLY do this ONCE and timing is everything!

80 days is a long time for unexpected bad things to occur. Maliki and his advisers need more time to determine what their political opponents strategies are going to be and to allow them to "spin" any bad things that do occur that they will try to blame Maliki for...

During this next 50-60 days Maliki will continue to announce (and take credit for) all the good things happening in Iraq. ie: oil contracts, new housing, new jobs ect ect. His opponents do not have this advantage and Maliki will play this to the maximum.

Consider this situation realistically, if you were running for President would it make sense to announce the RV (your single most powerful political advantage) and then spend the next 80 days dodging whatever gets thrown at you?

During the past 4 years Maliki has well demonstrated his political acumen and I believe he is going to be re-elected.

Given Maliki's strong desire to be reelected I believe he will hold the RV until sometime after mid February to get past the political mine fields and put his best advantage in front of the people as close to elections as reasonably possible.

From a purely Political viewpoint to do it any other way would be political suicide.

So the question that bears asking is ... Is Maliki motivated purely by politics at this time or is he going to be influenced by other factors.

Thank You all for your time and considerations ... Now let the debate begin!

BGPATTON2 POST

SO LET ME REHASH SOME OF MY INFO. OK, ABOUT THE CELL PHONE COMMENT. WHAT I MEANT WAS I WISH MY FRIEND HAD THE SECRETARIES CELL PHONE SO HE COULD CALL AND ASK MORE QUESTIONS FOR US. HE ONLY HAD A FEW MINUTES WITH HIM AND DIDN'T GET TO ASK A LOT OF QUESTIONS. HE DID SAY THAT WHEN HE ASKED HIM ABOUT THE RV, HE WAS VERY EXCITED HIMSELF, THE SECRETARY THAT IS. THEY HAVE BEEN CHOMPING AT THE BIT TO PULL THE TRIGGER. MALIKI OF COURSE WANTS THE RECOGNITION FOR HIS ACCOMPLISHMENTS SO HE CAN GET RE-ELECTED. THEY KNOW THIS IS THE ACE IN THE HOLE. MY FRIEND SAID YOU COULD TELL IN THEIR VOICE THE EXCITEMENT OF A NEW BEGINNING FOR THEIR FELLOW IRAQIS.

JUST SO YOU ALL KNOW MY BACKGROUND, I HAD THE PRIVELIDGE OF WORKING SECURITY FOR THE PRESIDENTIAL
HELICOPTERS OR ALSO KNOW AS MARINE 1. THAT IS HOW "TONY" AND I KNOW EACH OTHER. WE MET ON A TRIP IN CHICAGO. THE REASON I DIDN'T CONTACT HIM SOONER IS IT HAS BEEN 8 YEARS SINCE WE HAVE SPOKEN. I KNOW IT SOUNDS STUPID THAT "OH YEAH HE JUST ALL OF A SUDDEN REMEMBER HIM", BUT THAT'S THE TRUTH. I HAD TO CALL ALL OVER DIFFERENT SECRET SERVICE OFFICES TO FINALLY GET HIS WORK NUMBER. ANYWAY, DOESN'T REALLY MAKE A DIFFERENCE TO ME IF ALL BELIEVE IT OR NOT. I KNOW THE TRUTH AND THATS WHAT MATTERS. THAT'S IT, THANKS.

SFMEDIC CHAT

I AS YOU ALL KNOW HAVE ONE SOURCE THAT I WORK WITH. THAT IS LANACHY. HE AND 6 OTHER ECONOMIC PROJECTIONISTS HAVE BEEN HIRED TO DO A MODULE FOR CITIBANK. THEY HAVE BEEN DOING ONE OF THE MOST EXTENSIVE MODULES. THEY HAVE BEEN WORKING ON IT FOR 8 BANKING DAYS. LANS SECTION OF THE MODULE HAS TO DO WITH ALL THE OIL CONTRACTS AND REVENUES. HE SAID THAT HIS PORTION IS VERY POSITIVE, BUT IT IS A COMBINATION OF ALL 7 THAT MAKE UP THE %. NOW I DO NOT KNOW WHAT INFO SONNY'S BRO HAS FROM DUBAI, BUT AS I SAID IT WAS COMPELLING ENOUGH FOR HIM TO BELIEVE IT WAS OVER BTWN THE 17-20TH AND THAT HE WENT AND SPENT ANOTHER 15K ON IQD. SO I THINK I WILL GIVE HIM THE BENEFIT OF THE DOUBT.

I WANT TO EPLAIN ONE THING ABOUT BGPATTON2 INFO, I KNOW HE DID NOT EMBELISH, BUT YOU MUST REMEMBER THAT THE INTEL HIS FRIEND HAD WAS AT LEAST SEVERAL DAYS TO A COUPLE WEEKS OLD POSSIBLY, DEPENDING ON WHEN HE LEFT IRAQ AND THE LAST TIME HE WAS IN CONTACT MALIKI'S SECRETARY. NOW THE REAL TEST AND WE SHALL SEE IF BG DOES IT AS WHEN INFO DOES NOT PAN OUT, FIND OUT WHY. DON'T LEAVE US HANGING OR HIMSELF OUT HANGING TO BE FLAMED. DOES THAT NOT SOUND FAIR?

I THINK THAT WHEN YOU GIVE OUT INTEL AS FACT YOU SHOULD ALSO BARE THE RESPONSIBILITY TO FIND OUT WHY IT DIDN'T HAPPEN. IT COMES WITH THE TERRITORY. IT IS A RESPONSIBILITY. SO WE WAIT AND SEE.

DO YOU REALLY WANT MY HONEST OPINION NO MATTER HOW IT SOUNDS? I TRULY BELIEVE THAT WE HONESTLY ARE STILL LOOKING AT BEFORE XMAS. NOW THAT IS JUST MY OPINION. I STILL WANT TO SEE WHAT THE RESULTS OF THE MODULE ARE. WHEN I GET THE RESULTS I WILL POST THEM
.

IRAQ'S OIL: NOW COMES THE HARD PART

BAGHDAD, Dec. 16 (UPI) -- The Iraqi government, a bundle of contracts with major foreign oil companies in its pocket from a weekend auction, plans to start boosting the country's oil production to challenge world leader Saudi Arabia.

But it still faces a host of problems that could wreck those plans.

First, there is the glaring absence of a long-stymied hydrocarbons law, which the Americans see as a benchmark for Iraq's political progress in the post-Saddam Hussein era.

This would regulate Iraq's refurbished oil industry and determine how the revenues will be shared among the various regions and sects.

"Already an argument is building within the government that the contracts must be approved by Parliament, not just the Cabinet," according to the U.S. global security consultancy Stratfor.

As it is, Baghdad is already at odds with Iraq's Kurds, who run their own semiautonomous enclave in the northeast. In the absence of an oil law, the Kurdish Regional Government is battling the central government over Kurdistan's energy resources.

The KRG has signed contracts, far more lucrative than those secured by the central government, with some 20 foreign oil companies. The Kurds see this as the economic underpinning of an eventual independent state.

Baghdad, which claims it has control over Kurdish oil and fiercely opposes Kurdish statehood, insists these are illegal and refuses to sanction payments to the oil companies.

The KRG retaliated by halting oil exports from the fields it controls, thus depriving Baghdad of the revenue from 100,000 barrels a day as of October.

Kurdish claims on the northern Kirkuk oil fields, which contain one-third of Iraq's known reserves, have created a powder-keg crisis that could explode at any moment.

Second, parliamentary elections in the spring, delayed from January because of sectarian feuding in the fractious national assembly, could result in the negation of the contracts.

"Iraq's general elections in March will be a critical milestone in the development of the oil fields because a new government could either be friendly or hostile to Iraq opening up its most important industry to foreigners," The Financial Times observed.

A few days after the auction ended Saturday, an Iraqi lawmaker filed a lawsuit against the Oil Ministry and the government of Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki for signing a 20-year contract with BP and the China National Petroleum Corp. to run the giant Rumaila field without parliamentary approval.

Doubtless, Maliki, who sees the oil deals as vote-winner in the upcoming elections, will be able to neutralize that threat.

But the lawsuit, scheduled to be heard in court on Dec. 22, underlined the perils that lie ahead as the government drives to boost oil production to pay for rebuilding the nation.

With the elections postponed and a referendum still pending on Iraq's security agreement with United States that resulted in U.S. forces starting to withdraw last June, Iraq faces the grim prospect of a new wave of bloodshed and no guarantee that the polling will produce a functional coalition government.

Third, Baghdad is likely to run into resistance from the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries, whose members feel threatened by Baghdad's ambitious plans.

Oil Minister Hussain al-Shahristani wants to ramp up its production, currently limping along at about 2.4 million barrels a day, to 10 million to 12 million a day over the next six years through use of the advanced technology the foreign companies will bring in.

That's bound to upset OPEC's equilibrium and increase tension between Shiite-dominated Iraq and its Sunni-led neighbors in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates.

It will also likely complicate relations with overwhelmingly Shiite Iran, OPEC's second-largest producer. But if Iraq implodes, Iran may well snatch the Shiite-controlled southern fields that contain most of Iraq's reserves.

Iraq is technically a member of OPEC, but its production has slumped so badly over the last decade that it has not had to adhere to the 13-member cartel's production quota system.

So boosting production capacity to rival Saudi Arabia's 12 million barrels a day -- although it only actually produces around 8 million a day at present -- or even non-OPEC Russia's 10 million barrels a day is a challenge that other producers cannot ignore.

Finally, the immense importance of Iraq's oil industry on proving the economic powerhouse to rebuild the long-battered nation, and the oil-field projects in particular, make tempting targets for Sunni insurgents led by al-Qaida and remnants of Saddam's outlawed Baath Party.

SONNY1 POST - Dinar Vets

[sonny1] My guy from Dubai, who told me yesterday that it was rving between the 17th-21st stills stands behind what he's got, and i have full faith in what hes saying.

[digital11] sonny1, does he say what leads him to believe this?

[sonny1] Islamic new year, oil contracts done, it will end the violence, and he knows people in iraq, who have never said it was going to rv, except when he talked to them on Monday. rate, 1.40ish, they will be doing most of there initial work with countries in the european nation (euro).

[muydinar] Sonny, any info whether it will be pegged and stay or it will float??

8:28 PM [sonny1] now if i didnt believe in this, i never would of said 100% i am not like that, i will look like a fool if hes wrong, so i believe in his guys.

8:29 PM [walktide] sonny1 - the 17th - 21st....many of these days are weekend days....will they pull the trigger on one of those days? If not...that really leaves tomorrow and Sun

[sonny1] muydinar, they wont float, they have the money and power, and don't want people deciding there rate

8:30 PM [IraqofLamb] Sonny do you have any other thoughts?

[sonny1] IraqofLamb i love your name by the way. why would they over pay us, when they are only giving us 30-60 days to cash-in, then they will go up.

[lcbhw48] sonny1 do you believe everything is done they are just waiting for the most opportune time.

[sonny1] lcbhw48 yep

[sonny1] bump if its 1.40-1.50, i think i'm done.

[sonny1] 34dean i like your opinion, im going to go read it

[sonny1] the gcc wont let iraq in at 1170, and theres no chance in h e l l they will get of chapter 7 at 1170 either, and i have heard out of dubai, that kuwait has been able to invest at the new rate for about a month now, and thats why kuwait stopped complaining.

SFMEDIC CHAT

Now i know many of you go to adam monatana's dinar vets site. I also know cuz i talked to my best friend sonny about 30 minutes ago, and he said he did guarantee 100% on the site that it was rv'ing between now and the 21st. He didn't do this lightly. The information, and i know how and who he got it from, is from a very respected academic, and it was convincing enough for him to go out and buy 15k more dinar last night.
