[17:46] Enoch8: Chap 7 is not an issue for the RV..... IMHO

[17:47] Enoch8: It gives needed protections from suits against the Hussein Regime

[17:48] Enoch8: I think the social distributions portion of HCL can be agreed upon.... to see to it the Kurds and Displaced get their fair share of oil revenues.

[17:50] Enoch8: There were statements from Talibani and from Maliki.... that there is already HCL and oil revenue distribution set in place to address that issue.

[17:51] Enoch8: It is true.... there are some who want more for certain groups..... but that should not hold anything up

[17:51] Enoch8: It would be like saying..... the US cannot have money..... because we need to have a better system of socialized welfare.

[17:52] Enoch8: That has nothing to do with a fixed rate and recognised value on our currency....

[17:54] Enoch8: There are possibilities of sanctions that could hold it up though.... but I thought
those parts of Chap 7 were taken care of

[17:55] Enoch8: and Iraq holding credibility with the world in good faith

[17:56] Enoch8: I say they are ready to start trusting IRaq as a legitimate Republic.

[17:57] Enoch8: Just as much so as Saudi Arabia or Kuwait.

[17:57] Enoch8: Or Israel , Egypt or Jordan.

[18:01] Enoch8: IMHO..... they are just as able as Mexico or Guatemala to have a recognized currency.... and certainly more so than China.

[18:03] Enoch8: As far as civil unrest..... as I recall American History..... we have had Revolutions... wars.... Civil Wars... border wars.... 2 World Wars... and many other wars..... street gangs.... organized crime.... gang crimes....

[18:04] Enoch8: etc etc....

[18:04] Enoch8: and still our currency is recognized as a benchmark on the world statge

[18:04] Enoch8: so I do not buy this malarky.... that Iraq has too much voilence and disputes to have a real currency

[18:05] Enoch8: They have more potential wealth per capita that does the USA

[18:05] Peter Pan: if they had a stronger currency they would have less situations

[18:05] Enoch8: among the wealthiest potential per capita in the world

[18:06] Enoch8: That per capita wealth potential is what determines the value of their money.

[18:07] Enoch8: estimates are from 1.50 to 3.99 by the worlds sharpest macro economists....

[18:08] Enoch8: So here is the dilemma...... do they start low with a controlled float....?

[18:08] Enoch8: Or come in high and let it seek out it's own level?

[18:08] Enoch8: They can do it either way.

[18:08] Peter Pan: don't think so, big egos and pride won't let em start low...

[18:13] Enoch8: Just a wild guess..... but I think it is nothing but political bargaining.
