TOMORROW.. IRAQ DISCUSSES JOINT COOPERATION PROGRAM WITH UN

Will be held on Thursday in the Hall-Rashid Hotel in Baghdad, the strategic meeting to discuss the program of joint cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Iraq and the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) for the years 2011-2014.

A source at the Ministry of Planning told (long): The meeting will be attended by the Planning Minister Ali Baban, with the heads of all provincial ministries and agencies and representatives of the Iraqi Kurdistan Regional Government and the ambassadors of a number of Arab and foreign countries as well as the UN organizations operating in Iraq and civil society organizations and professional associations. The source added: The program of the meeting will include a presentation of the Millennium Development Goals and national development plan for the years 2010-2014. Indicating that it will be displayed for the priorities of the UN framework for development assistance to Iraq with a focus on childhood development and the role of UNICEF in supporting and building strategic partnerships and ensure the participation of children. He said this meeting will discuss important issues relating to cooperation between Iraq and the United Nations.
