IRAQI PARLIAMENT PASSES PARLIAMENT BUDGET AND SUPREME JUDICIAL COUNCIL

Erbil, Jan.11 (Aknews) - The head of the Finance Committee in the Iraqi parliament said on Monday that the Parliament approved on the Council's budget and the Supreme Judicial Council.

"according to the rules ,voting on the Parliament's budget and the Supreme Judicial Council must be done according to two separate paragraphs and then it is added to the federal budget." Alaa Saadoun told The Independent National News Agency of Kurdistan (AKnews).

She explained that "after the approval, these votes are taken to the Council of Ministers to amend the budget and the tables related to it, then it is returned back to the Parliament to be voted on early next week."

She added that voting on the budget of the Parliament and the Supreme Judicial Council dependes on considering that each of these is a separate branch. It is a legislative, independent and judicial power and shall be voted upon separately and then added to the federal budget. "

She noted that the Judicial Council "is an independent judicial authority and the Parliament is an independent legislative power, in addition to the executive authority which is the government and the Prime Minister considering that each of these agencies have the seperated authority from the rest of the authorities, and will be voted on separately and then added to the federal public budget.
