UN RENEWS ITS COMMITMENT TO THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE PROGRAM FOR DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANCE IN IRAQ

United Nations renewed its commitment to the implementation of the program the first frame of development assistance in Iraq.

The Humanitarian Coordinator in Iraq, McNab during a meeting with President of the board of advisers Thamer Ghadhban that part of the development partnership with Iraq represents a commitment of the United Nations to improve the lives of Iraqis through the consolidation of the United Nations system to support the priorities of Iraq towards reform and modernization and social and economic renaissance.

The Head of the Commission during the meeting which was attended by the Resident Coordinator of the United Nations in Iraq and a number of consultants and experts preparations for the Iraqi side of the signing of the final common framework for development assistance between the UN and the Government of Iraq in order to get Iraq to support United Nations efforts to the needs and development priorities within the major five-year plan for national development in the country .

Iraq has agreed with the United Nations in November 2009 on an initial framework for a major new development partnership aimed at strengthening social services and economic growth over the next five years. The United Nations under the Agreement on the financing of the operations carried out by the Iraqi government's support in the sectors of the economy and services.
