PHOENIX CHAT - One Dinar
[08:10] Phoenix3333: so far as we all know no rate changes
[08:10] rebel1: hi phx
[08:10] pencer: yw
[08:10] TRUTH: but could still happen?
[08:10] Phoenix3333: my next window for any changes is between now and the weekend of the 15th
[08:10] Phoenix3333: but I lean more towards the 15th (weekend of)
[08:12] Phoenix3333: sure it could still happen
[08:12] Phoenix3333: anything could happen between now and then
[08:12] Phoenix3333: I do have to tell you I was so suprised we saw no rate changes anywhere in the world
[08:13] Phoenix3333: IF we see nothing by the weekend of the 15th -18th then I will have to push the window (for me) back to the end of March
[08:15] Phoenix3333: zero....not one single rate change anywhere world wide
[08:15] mimar: Phoenix, do you think that the people that are passing along the intel are jumping to conclusions because they are wanting the RV just like we are?
[08:16] Phoenix3333: now we did see the last moment cancellation of the huge UN meeting in November
[08:16] Phoenix3333: that meeting was the one Shabbibi was to speak at before all the world body
[08:17] Phoenix3333: but right after Hassimi veto the election law in Iraq and threw the elections into doubt they canceled the meeting at the UN only 48 hrs before it was to begin
[08:17] Phoenix3333: they had people from all over the world there
08:18] Phoenix3333: waiting for the meeting and canceled right after that veto
08:18] Phoenix3333: now they were to set a new date on Dec 11th
[08:18] Phoenix3333: but did not set a new date until lats week
[08:18] Phoenix3333: that new date for the meeting is in mid march now
[08:19] Phoenix3333: it is posted in Lakes blog
[08:19] Phoenix3333: so did the veto of the Iraqi election throw the whole world plan off by 3 months?
[08:19] Phoenix3333: It may very well have
08:21] Phoenix3333: The fact that this HUGE economic meeting at the UN with Shabbibi as a speaker was called off at the very last moment and the only change seen anywhere in the world was the Iraqi election law veto...
[08:21] Phoenix3333: it may have stopped everything
[08:22] Phoenix3333: Am I saying that this is the fact? No....but something changed and changed in a big way
[08:22] Phoenix3333: now...we may just see a 2 week push back...
[08:22] Phoenix3333: that is why I am saying the weekend of the 15th
[08:23] flysky: Phoenix...what is you opinion that if there is an auction no RV...just curious....have also heard it does not matter if there is an auction
08:24] Phoenix3333: flysky all I know is that the auction happens while the CBI is open during the day and the rV cannot happen during biz hours
[08:24] flysky: Thanks ...makes sense
[08:24] Phoenix3333: You cannot change the exchange rate by that much with the Iraqi banks and shops open
[08:24] Phoenix3333: it would be chaos
[08:25] Brabus: So, what's your take on the delayed opening of the ISX today?
[08:25] Phoenix3333: you can have one guy pay 1000 dinars for a can of coke and the next guy in line pay 1 dinar
[08:25] Doublebottoms: Yes, the ISX closed another day is curious to me too.
[08:26] Phoenix3333: that would mean the one guy just paid $1,000 for a can of coke
08:26] flysky: better be good coke....LOL
[08:26] Phoenix3333: not that kind of coke...
[08:26] flysky: LOL
[08:26] Phoenix3333: not sure on the ISX deal
[08:26] Phoenix3333: who knows?
[08:27] Brabus: Also, all of the ME rate changes on WF and BOA...sure seemed to be the perfect lead into the RV. I haven't checked those sites yet this morning. Assuming that they we back to the previous rates.
[08:28] Phoenix3333: For a good astrological take on where we are right now read the astro weather for this week here: http://afterthegoldrush.lefora.com/2010/01/04/jan-4th-2010-jan-10th-2010/#post0
[08:29] Phoenix3333: Nope WF still is showing Kuwait at $3.90
08:30] Brabus: Hmmm They sure are not wanting to miss out on the movement.
[08:32] Mr.Hood: there was an auction today, right?
[08:32] Phoenix3333: yes
[08:32] Phoenix3333: there was an auction
[08:32] Mr.Hood: Phx, could the selling price and the buying price have a 40 cents difference?
[08:32] Phoenix3333: and not rate changes anywhere world wide
[08:33] Mr.Hood: check it now
[08:33] Mr.Hood: http://www.cbi.iq/exchangerate.html
08:33] Phoenix3333: Mr Hood I guess it could be....but why so much on just one currency?
[08:33] Mr.Hood: that's my doubt
[08:33] Mr.Hood: The 1563 daily currency auction was held in the Central Bank of Iraq day Thursday
31-12-2009 so the results were as follows :
[08:34] Mr.Hood: and since I never saw the WF before... I don't know if it has been always like that
[08:34] Brabus: Amount sold at auction price (US 242.275.000)
[08:35] Phoenix3333: No it has not
[08:36] Phoenix3333: ok so that's it....nothing new no changes and no news
[08:36] Phoenix3333: so i am going to go and work out
[08:36] Phoenix3333: see everyone later today or if i hear something i will be back
[08:10] rebel1: hi phx
